This collage explores the early construction of identity—how children are dressed in roles before they even know themselves. Gender, class, expectations, and family narratives are stitched into the costume. The painted faces echo their clothing: faceless, color-coded, absorbed into the roles assigned. The masking tape suggests what’s left unsaid—how identity is built, imposed, and quietly endured. They may be playing, but the performance has already begun. A reflection on how childhood conditioning echoes through adult life.
