One planet many voices ( Multimedia Installation)
I made this installation as part of an art exhibition during the Summer of 2023 in the old Chappel in Saint Paul de fennouillet, southern France. This installation invited visitors to sit on a large cushion or in chairs in silence and be engulfed by the sounds of accapella chants from all over the globe while looking at a large screen showcasing planet earth rotating from space, inspired by Carl Sagan's 'Pale blue dot' With this immersive Installation, I wanted to encourage the visitors to reflect upon the diversity of human cultures past and present, their impermanence, from the 'overview effect' perspective and that despite our differences, we are united by our common home and our dependence on nature.
